Job summary

Aptiv Interconnect seeks a General Manager to build out the Hermetics division, drive profitable growth, and lead a high‑performing team focused on quality and customer service.

You will shape strategic direction, foster cross‑functional collaboration, align with Aptiv growth targets, and ensure compliance with ISO/AS9100 standards while expanding market presence across key customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Finance.
• 5-8 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• US Citizenship required.
• Familiarity with ISO & AS9100, NADCAP, ITAR, CMMC, Lean Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Drive long‑term business strategy by translating high‑level organizational goals into clear departmental roadmaps, ensuring sustainable revenue and profitable growth.
• Lead cross‑functional key initiatives from concept to execution, delivering major operational improvements that boost overall profit margins and business scalability.
• Optimize resource allocation across key operational units, prioritizing high‑yield projects to maximize return on investment and mitigate financial risk.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities through strategic market analysis and strategic partnerships, driving multi‑year revenue expansion.
• Cultivate an ethical, high‑accountability culture anchored in core compliance and integrity, ensuring all business objectives are achieved without sacrificing standards or operational quality.
• Team Development: Strengthen and build department resources with growth strategies in mind, aligning personnel and utilizing cross‑training to achieve results.
• Establish consistent operational communication rhythms—such as weekly standard 1:1s, monthly performance syncs, and quarterly reviews—to make individual expectations and overall performance metrics clear across all tiers.
• Cascade annual corporate goals into actionable departmental KPIs—ensuring every level of the organization directly supports the company’s overarching strategic plan.

Education & Technical Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Finance
• Experience: 5-8 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience
• Industry Domain: Interconnect Industry
• Regulatory Compliance: US Citizenship

Certifications & Competencies

• Certifications: Familiarity with ISO & AS9100, NADCAP, ITAR, CMMC, Lean Six Sigma.
• Systems Proficiency: Google Enterprise, Infor / Visual ERP, ADP Lyric
• Core Competencies: Experience with ISO & AS9100 standards, Quality Management Systems (QMS), NADCAP, ITAR, CMMC, lean or six sigma practices
