Job summary

Aptiv is seeking a strategic Project Manager to serve as the primary business interface for our internal teams and customers, ensuring exceptional service, alignment, and timely delivery across initiatives from kick-off to delivery.

Based in Melbourne, FL or Houston, TX, the role requires a bachelor’s degree with 5-8+ years in high-reliability electronic/interconnect manufacturing, ITAR compliance, and ERP/MRP, CRM, and JIRA proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5-8+ years in high-reliability electronic/interconnect manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of high-reliability interconnects, wire harnesses, and cable assemblies.
• Must meet ITAR requirements and be a U.S. Person.
• Experience with supply chain, component manufacturing, assembly, and CNs.

Responsibilities

• Relationship management & support: primary customer liaison for end-to-end project management.
• Project/program administration: lead reviews, manage schedules and data in ERP/CRM.
• Production liaison: bridge customer and production to resolve bottlenecks.
• Strategic execution: lead kick-offs, conduct reviews, generate performance reports.

Summary

We are seeking a high-caliber, strategic Project Manager to serve as the primary business interface for our internal team and customers, ensuring exceptional service, operational alignment, and timely project management. The Project Manager will drive the execution of strategic initiatives, consolidation, new product development and critical new business opportunities, managing the full lifecycle from kick-off through delivery. By fostering deep collaboration between customers and production teams, you will play a critical role in achieving our growth and quality goals.

Leadership & Core Responsibilities

Customer & Project / Program Management:

• Relationship Management & Support: Act as the primary customer liaison, managing the end-to-end project management process and providing proactive support.
• Project / Program Administration: Lead internal and external reviews (QBRs/PMRs), manage various projects of size and scale, schedules, and site initiatives while maintaining accurate data in ERP/CRM and tracking systems.

Operational Excellence

• Production Liaison: Bridge the gap between the customer and production floor by developing plans and managing jobs to resolve bottlenecks.
• Strategic Execution: Lead new project kick-offs, conduct project reviews, support all functions of the business, and generate performance reports.

Position Requirements

Education & Technical Qualifications:

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 5-8+ years of progressive experience in high-reliability electronic or interconnect manufacturing.
• Industry Domain: Deep knowledge of high-reliability interconnects, wire harnesses, and cable assemblies.
• Regulatory Compliance: Must meet ITAR requirements and be a U.S. Person.
• Experience with supply chain, component manufacturing, assembly, and process change notifications.

ISO and AS9100 Requirements and Certifications

Certifications & Competencies

• Certifications: PMP certification with Critical Chain emphasis and AS9100 experience.
• Systems & Technical Proficiency: Expert in ERP/MRP, CRM, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, JIRA and reading Technical Data Packages (TDP)/blueprints.
• Core Competencies: Strong communication skills, project execution and deliverables, negotiation, and accountability

Compensation, Benefits & Legal

Total Rewards & Compensation:

• Base Salary Range: $145,000 - $150,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
• Incentive Compensation: 10%
