Job summary

Chesapeake Home Services LLC is seeking a General Manager to lead our growing team. You will own day-to-day operations, oversee Sales, Installation and Office functions, and drive revenue with strong profitability. This role requires hands-on leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to build capable teams in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of leadership, P&L responsibility, and a background in plumbing/HVAC services. A business degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience managing multiple teams or business functions.
• Experience in Plumbing and HVAC service and installation industry.
• 5+ years of direct P&L experience.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, margins, revenue, labor, and profitability.
• Proven experience developing teams and holding leaders accountable.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the business.
• Directly manage and develop our Sales, Installation, and Office teams.
• Recruit, hire, train, and retain strong field and office personnel.
• Drive revenue growth while maintaining acceptable net profit margins.
• Maintain a strong command of the company’s P&L and balance sheet.
• Translate company goals into clear priorities, expectations, and measurable results.
• Help formulate and execute the company’s strategic plan.
• Create accountability across departments and ensure leaders follow through.
• Develop and maintain an annual marketing plan and budget.
• Ensure structured training in Technical knowledge, Customer relations, Sales and lead management, Company processes and SOPs.
• Ensure daily huddles are productive, consistent, and focused.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with key leaders.
• Manage employee compensation requests and pay adjustments.
• Understand and effectively utilize company software and systems.
• Align workload and workforce needs to maximize productivity and profitability.
• Monitor customer satisfaction, industry developments, competitors, market opportunities, and expansion opportunities.

This is not a “keep the wheels turning” management position. We need a hands‑on, results‑driven leader who can take ownership of the business, develop strong teams, improve operations, drive revenue and profitability, and help take Chesapeake Home Services to the next level.

The General Manager will oversee sales, operations, personnel, financial performance, and strategic execution across the company. The right person will be comfortable making decisions, holding teams accountable, coaching leaders, analyzing the numbers, solving problems, and creating the structure needed to support continued growth.

What You’ll Own
