We seek a proven, growth-oriented business leader with a track record of winning new customers, strengthening customer relationships, and growing a business or substantial operating unit. This hands‑on, externally focused leader will drive geographic expansion and profitable growth while building strong relationships with field employees, customers, and ownership. Experience in an entrepreneurial or private equity environment, or exposure to a business transaction, is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales and business development, build sales capacity, expand key accounts, and secure new business and longer-term contracts.
  • Execute growth plans across geographic markets and service lines, ensuring the team, equipment, and operating capacity support expansion.
  • Maintain full P&L accountability, including budgets, forecasts, profitability, operating costs, and capital planning.
  • Oversee field operations, scheduling, workforce deployment, and service delivery to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable execution.
  • Establish disciplined bidding and pricing practices that balance competitiveness, capacity, service quality, and profitability.
  • Oversee fleet utilization, maintenance, and investment while maintaining strong safety practices, training, and regulatory compliance.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain management and field teams, fostering accountability, teamwork, and customer service.
  • Use financial and operational reporting to improve productivity and margins, working with ownership on investment priorities and significant business decisions.
Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in heavy civil, specialty contracting, infrastructure, underground utilities, site services, energy infrastructure, industrial or environmental services, or a comparable field services business.

  • Demonstrated success scaling operations, delivering profitable growth, and expanding into new markets.
  • Experience managing field teams, multiple service lines, and fleet-intensive or equipment-intensive operations.
  • Strong commercial and financial judgment, including customer development, pricing, budgeting, and operating performance.
  • Ability to develop strong teams and communicate credibly with frontline employees, customers, owners, and investors.
