Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a General Maintenance Worker (Contingency) in the United States to perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and support tasks across facilities and equipment, including operating government or commercial vehicles to move materials and personnel.

The position emphasizes basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical work, strict adherence to safety procedures, and coordination with supervisors. It is contingent upon award and may involve overtime or shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; supplemental technical or vocational training preferred.
• Typically 2-4 years of experience in general maintenance, facilities support, or related work.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate government or commercial vehicles.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical)
• Ability to perform general labor and maintenance tasks in a safe and effective manner.
• Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (as required)
• U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks including minor repairs to facilities, equipment, and infrastructure
• Assist with preventive maintenance and upkeep of buildings, work sites, and equipment
• Operate motor vehicles to transport materials, tools, equipment, and personnel
• Load, unload, and move materials to support maintenance and logistics operations
• Perform inspections of work areas to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in proper working condition
• Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures
• Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and vehicle use as required
• Support facility upkeep including cleaning, painting, and general labor tasks
• Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance personnel on work assignments
• Support inspections, audits, and government reviews as required
