Job summary

KBR in Texas is seeking a Carpenter, Maintenance to perform general maintenance, repairs, and support for facilities and equipment. You will operate vehicles as needed to support maintenance and logistics tasks.

The role emphasizes basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs, with a focus on safety, record-keeping, and collaboration with maintenance teams. The position is contingent on award and mission needs.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in general maintenance or facilities support is typical.
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to operate government or commercial vehicles.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical trades.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks including minor repairs to facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and upkeep of buildings, work sites, and equipment.
• Operate motor vehicles to transport materials, tools, equipment, and personnel.
• Load, unload, and move materials to support maintenance and logistics operations.
• Perform inspections of work areas to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in proper working condition.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
• Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and vehicle use as required.
• Support facility upkeep including cleaning, painting, and general labor tasks.
• Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance personnel on work assignments.
• Support inspections, audits, and government reviews as required.
