Job summary

KBR is seeking a General Maintenance Worker (Contingency) to support TACOM programs in the United States. The role includes general maintenance, repair, and support tasks related to facilities, equipment, and infrastructure, and may involve operating government or commercial vehicles.

This contingent position requires a high school diploma, 2–4 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain government clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; supplemental technical or vocational training preferred.
• Typically 2–4 years of experience in general maintenance, facilities support, or related work.
• Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (as required).

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks including minor repairs to facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and upkeep of buildings, work sites, and equipment.
• Operate motor vehicles to transport materials, tools, equipment, and personnel.
• Load, unload, and move materials to support maintenance and logistics operations.
• Perform inspections of work areas to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in proper working condition.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
• Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and vehicle use as required.
• Support facility upkeep including cleaning, painting, and general labor tasks.
• Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance personnel on work assignments.
• Support inspections, audits, and government reviews as required.
