Job summary

KBR, Inc. sought a General Maintenance Worker (Contingency) to support TACOM operations in a physically demanding environment. You’ll perform general repairs, assist with preventive maintenance, and operate vehicles to move materials and personnel across sites.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to manuals, and the ability to execute a variety of basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical tasks as part of maintenance and logistics teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; supplemental technical or vocational training preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in general maintenance, facilities support, or related work.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate government or commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks including minor repairs to facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and upkeep of buildings, work sites, and equipment.
• Operate motor vehicles to transport materials, tools, equipment, and personnel.
• Load, unload, and move materials to support maintenance and logistics operations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in proper working condition.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and vehicle use as required.
• Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance personnel on work assignments.
