Job summary

White Lodging is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to support the hotel’s engineering team in maintaining property appearance, functionality, and safety. You will help ensure WL, Brand, and Guest standards are met across the property, working with the Chief Engineer and maintenance staff.

The role requires at least one year of maintenance experience, basic knowledge of maintenance practices, and the ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly and 25 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel facilities to WL, Brand, and Guest standards.
• Support Chief Engineer in overseeing engineering functions.
• Clean and maintain engineering areas for safe operations.
• Complete work safely, communicating with supervisors about tools and materials.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; stock spare parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do

• Ensure the hotel’s maintenance and upkeep standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards.
• Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing and supervising all aspects of the Engineering function of the hotel.
• Clean all engineering areas as directed, working in a neat and efficient manner to help maintain effective operations.
• Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional manner while maintaining communication with supervisors regarding tools, supplies, and materials.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation and maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Ability to perform general carpentry, plumbing, and painting duties and operate hand and power tools.
• Basic working knowledge of general maintenance, lock out tag out procedures, along with a desire to continue developing in a trade area (e.g., electrical, carpentry).
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 10 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. occasionally, and ability to stand and move for long periods of time.
• At least one year of maintenance experience required.
