Job summary

White Lodging is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to support our hotel's engineering team in keeping facilities in top condition. You will help maintain appearance, functionality, and safety to meet brand and guest standards.

The role requires experience in general maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, and painting, with the ability to operate hand and power tools. Shifts include a mix of 3pm–11pm and overnight hours, offering opportunities for growth within the engineering team.

Qualifications

• At least one year of maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and stand for long periods.
• General carpentry, plumbing, and painting skills; familiarity with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Mixture of 3pm - 11pm shifts and overnight 11pm - 7am shifts.
• Ensure the hotel's maintenance and upkeep standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards.
• Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing and supervising all aspects of the Engineering function of the hotel.
• Clean all engineering areas as directed, working in a neat and efficient manner to help maintain effective operations.
• Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional manner while maintaining communication with supervisors regarding tools, supplies, and materials.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation and maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

• Ability to perform general carpentry, plumbing, and painting duties and operate hand and power tools.
• Basic working knowledge of general maintenance with a desire to continue developing in a trade area (e.g., electrical, carpentry).
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 10 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. occasionally, and ability to stand and move for long periods of time.
• At least one year of maintenance experience required.
