Job summary

White Lodging is seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to keep our Milwaukee property safe, functional, and visually appealing. You will handle routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and emergency fixes across guest rooms, public spaces, and building systems to support guest satisfaction and smooth operations.

You’ll collaborate with the engineering team, perform tasks with safety in mind, and maintain supply levels and tools to ensure uninterrupted service.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform general carpentry, plumbing, and painting duties and operate hand and power tools.
• Basic working knowledge of general maintenance with a desire to continue developing in a trade area (electrical, carpentry).
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly and 25 lbs occasionally; stand and move for long periods.
• At least one year of maintenance experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the hotel’s maintenance and upkeep standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards.
• Assist the Chief Engineer in overseeing and supervising all aspects of the Engineering function of the hotel.
• Clean all engineering areas as directed, working in a neat and efficient manner to help maintain effective operations.
• Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional manner while maintaining communication with supervisors regarding tools, supplies, and materials.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation and maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
