Knowledge of and skill in use of standard tools, equipment, materials, method and practices of general maintenance task Ability to accept responsibility and account for personal actions Ability to pay attention to the minute details of the assigned tasks Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines Ability to comprehend technical topics and specialized information Ability to find a solution for issues/obstacles in completing work that aligns with best practice maintenance repair; ability to determine when issue needs to be elevated to management to resolve. Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of general maintenance. Basic understanding of and ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics drawings Ability to use basic shop math applications. Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other mechanical systems Willingness to learn new skills and methods Ability to read English language sufficiently to understand written work orders and instructions as well as directions for the proper mixture, use and disposal/storage of any cleaners or chemicals needed for job tasks and for the proper use of power tools. Ability to demonstrate safe operation of tools, equipment and machinery required in job tasks. Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of the job, including heavy work with exposure to desert heat for prolonged periods of time. This position requires a 40-hour work week schedule; also, may request over time as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities None.
