Job summary

Wilson Elser is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney to join our Merrillville or Indianapolis offices in a hybrid role. The attorney will independently manage litigation from inception to resolution and collaborate with Partners on complex projects.

The ideal candidate holds a JD from an accredited law school, is admitted in Indiana, and has 3+ years of general liability experience with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in Indiana.
• 3+ years of general liability, premises liability, trucking/transportation, insurance defense, or medical malpractice experience.
• Superior written and oral communication skills.
• Legal project management experience is helpful.
• Trial experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a litigation caseload from start to finish.
• Work closely with Partners on legal projects.
• Regularly handle court appearances and depositions.
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports.
