The ideal candidate has a JD and Kentucky bar admission, with 2+ years of defense litigation experience and strong analytical and communication skills. The firm offers a collaborative culture and a flexible hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the State of Kentucky.
• 2+ years of defense litigation experience preferred.
• Experience with general liability, personal injury, construction, premises, products, transportation preferred.
• Strong analytical, research, and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support a litigation caseload from inception through resolution, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, briefs, and memoranda in state and federal courts.
• Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Manage written discovery and coordinate with clients and experts.
• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings.
• Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and clients.
