Job summary

Pilgrims is seeking a supervisor to manage hatchery production, egg pickup, inventory, and related activities in Georgia. You will hire and train staff, monitor safety, and ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining bio-security and high-quality chick production.

Ideal candidates have supervisory experience in processing/manufacturing, hatchery knowledge, and strong interpersonal and record-keeping skills, with proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in a processing/manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of hatchery processes for baby chicks.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to recognize unsafe conditions.
• Proficient with MS Office programs.

Job description

This position will work with breeder servicemen and will supervise and monitor hatchery production, egg pickup, inventory, and egg breakout at the lowest possible cost. The position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain accurate records and be able to direct the workforce.

2. Hire and train personnel.

3. Monitor safety rules and regulations.

5. Observe all Bio-Security programs.

6. Oversee and monitor a safe working environment.

7. Oversee the production of healthy baby chicks for broiler grown out.

8. Other duties as assigned.

BASIC SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

- Two years' experience in a processing or manufacturing environment.

- Must have knowledge of hatchery of baby chicks.

- Previous supervisory experience a must.

- Self-motivated and detail oriented.

- Good interpersonal skills.

- Ability to recognize and advise when unsafe conditions are observed.

- Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

-Education: High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field preferred
