Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a hatchery supervisory candidate to oversee breeder services, production, and egg handling. The role focuses on directing staff, maintaining records, and ensuring safe hatchery operations in a high-volume environment.

The ideal candidate has supervisory experience, hatchery knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office. Responsibilities include training personnel, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating daily production.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in a processing or manufacturing environment.
• Must have knowledge of hatchery of baby chicks.
• Previous supervisory experience a must.
• Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Overview:
This position will work with breeder servicemen, supervise and monitor hatchery production, egg pickup, inventory and egg breakout at the lowest cost. The position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain accurate records and be able to direct the workforce.
2. Hire and train personnel.
3. Monitor safety rules and regulations.
4. Set schedule.
5. Observe all Bio-Security programs.
6. Oversee and monitor a safe working environment.
7. Oversee the production of healthy baby chicks for broiler grown out.
8. Other duties as assigned.

BASIC SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two years experience in a processing or manufacturing environment.
• Must have knowledge of hatchery of baby chicks.
• Previous supervisory experience a must.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to recognize and advise when unsafe conditions are observed.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

• Education: High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field preferred
