Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a supervisor to oversee hatchery production, egg pickup, inventory, and egg breakout at the lowest possible cost. You will work with breeder servicemen and direct the workforce to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include hiring and training staff, maintaining records, monitoring safety, scheduling, and upholding bio-security. The role focuses on producing healthy chicks for broiler growth and requires strong leadership and reliability.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a processing or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of hatchery operations for baby chicks.
• Previous supervisory experience required.

Job description

• Oversee the production of healthy baby chicks for broiler grown out.
• Other duties as assigned.

BASIC SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two years’ experience in a processing or manufacturing environment.
• Must have knowledge of hatchery of baby chicks.
• Previous supervisory experience a must.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to recognize and advise when unsafe conditions are observed.
• Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

• Education: High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field preferred
