Job summary

McGill Environmental Systems is seeking a dependable 1st shift General Laborer to support our composting and organics recycling facility. This role involves outdoor work, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and helping with routine maintenance.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with potential overtime. You will keep grounds clean, assist with tools and equipment, and follow safety procedures to support environmental sustainability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Keep grounds, ramps, screening areas, and shop facilities clean and organized.
• Perform weed eating, shoveling, painting, and other grounds maintenance tasks.
• Clean and prepare processing bays and production areas.
• Assist with equipment cleaning and routine maintenance activities.
• Support maintenance technicians with repair and upkeep projects.
• Organize tools, parts, and supplies.
• Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain accountability for company-issued tools and equipment.
• Perform housekeeping duties throughout the facility.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
