McGill Environmental Systems is hiring a 2nd shift General Laborer to support operations at our composting and organics recycling facility. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, construction, landscaping, agriculture, recycling, or general labor environments preferred.
• Ability to work safely in a production environment.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Keep grounds, ramps, screening areas, and shop facilities clean and organized.
• Perform weed eating, shoveling, painting, and other grounds maintenance tasks.
• Clean and prepare processing bays and production areas.
• Assist with equipment cleaning and routine maintenance activities.
• Support maintenance technicians with repair and upkeep projects.
• Organize tools, parts, and supplies.
• Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain accountability for company-issued tools and equipment.
• Perform housekeeping duties throughout the facility.
• Complete other tasks assigned by supervisors.

2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday-Friday

Hours and workdays may be adjusted as needed to support operational requirements. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

The Role

As a General Laborer, you play a vital role in keeping our facility clean, organized, safe, and operating efficiently. You'll support production and maintenance teams by performing housekeeping, grounds maintenance, equipment cleaning, and general labor duties throughout the site.

This is a hands-on position where your efforts directly contribute to producing high-quality compost, mulch, and soil products that support agriculture, landscaping, and environmental sustainability.

What You'll Do

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

Ability to work on uneven terrain and around heavy equipment

Ability to work in outdoor and industrial environments

Ability to wear required PPE, including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and high-visibility clothing
