Job summary

Ferrara in Itasca, IL is seeking a 3rd shift production associate. You will set up, run lines, assist packaging, and ensure GMP compliance in a loud, food manufacturing environment.

Overtime and varying start/end times, including weekends, may be required to meet business needs. The role pays $22.50 per hour with a $0.58 shift differential and includes comprehensive benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced line environment.
• Promotes teamwork and flexibility on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Operate and assist on production lines, including setup and change-overs.
• Ensure sanitation, quality, productivity and safety in assigned area.
• Support other facets of production as needed and work at different stations.
• Verify pallet patterns and manage finished goods.

• Employee is responsible for handling materials, candy, and producing product. They must set up, change-over, and run lines and/or assist packaging employees. They are responsible for sanitation, quality, productivity, and safety in their area.

• Assists anytime the line is in a scrap mode
• Assists in other facets of production as needed
• Work at different work stations as production needs require
• Conducts assigned work in a safe manner and adheres to safety methods
• Responsible for finished goods
• Responsible for verifying and executing pallet patterns where applicable

Skills that will make you successful

• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, and the noise level in the environment is loud
• Manufacturing experience is preferred
• Food manufacturing experience is a plus

• Ensures compliance with SQF, and other relevant standards
