Job summary

DFA is seeking a production line worker to operate and maintain assigned equipment, stock the line, and support production runs that meet established standards for efficiency and quality. Duties include troubleshooting malfunctions, adjusting speed controls, maintaining and cleaning equipment, observing operations for quality, and reporting safety or quality issues immediately.

Education: high school diploma preferred; certification may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Production or general work experience preferred.
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

GENERAL PURPOSE

Operate and maintain line equipment for the product runs that meet established production standards needed for maximum efficiency and quality standards.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare, operate, maintain, and stock assigned production line or station
• Maintain equipment in full operational status by making adjustments to equipment
• Ensure operation of equipment by troubleshooting malfunctions and notifying the proper individuals when needed for preventative maintenance or issues needing attention
• Maintain quality by observing operations and adjusting with speed controls and troubleshooting
• Maintain and clean equipment according to guidelines and expectations
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
