Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a production line operator to operate and maintain line equipment, meet established production standards, and contribute to efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities include setup, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, adherence to GMP, safety, and reporting issues. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with production experience and the ability to work in a team environment.

• Production or general work experience preferred.
• Certification and/or License may be required during course of employment.

GENERAL PURPOSE

Operate and maintain line equipment for the product runs that meet established production standards needed for maximum efficiency and quality standards.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare, operate, maintain, and stock assigned production line or station


• Maintain equipment in full operational status by making adjustments to equipment


• Ensure operation of equipment by troubleshooting malfunctions and notifying the proper individuals when needed for preventative maintenance or issues needing attention


• Maintain quality by observing operations and adjusting with speed controls and troubleshooting


• Maintain and clean equipment according to guidelines and expectations


• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately


• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues


• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
