Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a production line associate to operate and maintain equipment, stock lines, and ensure quality during product runs. You will adjust with speed controls and address malfunctions to keep lines running efficiently.

The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow directions, and collaborate with team members to meet production standards. Solid English communication and basic math are essential, with a focus on safety and GMP compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Production or general work experience preferred.
• Certification and/or License may be required during course of employment.

Job description

GENERAL PURPOSE

Operate and maintain line equipment for the product runs that meet established production standards needed for maximum efficiency and quality standards.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• * Prepare, operate, maintain, and stock assigned production line or station
• * Maintain equipment in full operational status by making adjustments to equipment
• * Ensure operation of equipment by troubleshooting malfunctions and notifying the proper individuals when needed for preventative maintenance or issues needing attention
• * Maintain quality by observing operations and adjusting with speed controls and troubleshooting
• * Maintain and clean equipment according to guidelines and expectations
• * Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• * Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• * Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• * High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• * Production or general work experience preferred
• * Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment

• * Able to follow directions and carry out instructions
• * Able to effectively work in a team environment
• * Able to legibly write entries for record keeping
• * Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• * Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• * Must be able to read, write and speak English
