Job summary

Green Bay Packaging Inc. is seeking General Laborers for on-site production operations in De Pere, WI. You may choose between a 1st/2nd shift (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm) or a 3rd shift (10pm–6am). Responsibilities include reporting production data, machine setup, data entry, and quality checks to support efficient manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and good human relations skills are required.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Report time, production, and material usage accurately.
• Set up the machine and prepare materials; retrieve paper from storage.
• Enter job information and measurements into a computer for production runs.
• Report irregularities, maintenance needs and quality issues to staff.
• Assist crew in running, changing over, starting up and cleaning the machine.
• Check raw materials and corrugated paper inventory to prevent shortages.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions on corrugated board for quality.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and suggest process improvements.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

We offer two different schedule options for our General Laborers. YOU choose the schedule that works for your lifestyle.

• Weekly rotating shift between 1st and 2nd (1st: 6am - 2pm, 2nd: 2pm - 10pm)

or

• Straight 3rd shift (3rd: 10pm - 6am)

The following lists the job tasks and responsibilities that the General Laborer may be performing:

• Responsible for correct reporting of time, production, and material usage.
• Set up of the machine including preparing materials and retrieving paper from storage.
• Using a computer, enter information relating to the production run including job information, measurements etc.
• Reports irregularities, maintenance needs and quality problems to necessary staff
• Assists crew in running, changing over, starting up and cleaning the machine
• Checks raw materials and corrugated paper inventory to what is needed for each production run to ensure shortages are prevented
• Accurately use measuring tools to verify dimensions on corrugated board to ensure a quality product
• Troubleshoots machine issues and make recommendations on improving the process
• Keeps work area clean and orderly
• Other job tasks and projects as assigned

We are also looking for General Laborers who are self-motivated individuals willing to work safely in a team-based system. They need to have the ability to schedule their work, prioritize their workload, and complete tasks in a timely manner. A desire for continuous improvement and quality workmanship are required to meet our customers increasing demands

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous manufacturing experience is a plus but not required. Good human relations skills and strong verbal communication skills are required.

Compensation and Benefits

As a General Laborer, you'll start out making$24.10 per hour on day one with room to grow. You will have access to our two health and wellness clinics.
