Job summary

De Pere Shipping Container is hiring General Laborers in Wisconsin. You may choose between a rotating 1st/2nd shift (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm) or a straight 3rd shift (10pm–6am). Responsibilities include operating and setting up machines, maintaining accurate production records, and quality checks.

Starting wage is $24.10 per hour with benefits, including health clinics, retirement plans, paid holidays, vacation, and PPE. We seek self-motivated team players who value safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing experience a plus but not required.
• Good human relations and strong verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Report time, production, and material usage accurately.
• Set up machines, prepare materials, and retrieve paper from storage.
• Enter production run information into computer systems.
• Report irregularities, maintenance needs, and quality issues.
• Assist crew with running, changing over, startup and cleaning.
• Check raw materials and inventory to prevent shortages.
• Verify dimensions with measuring tools to ensure quality.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and suggest process improvements.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

We offer two different schedule options for our General Laborers. YOU choose the schedule that works for your lifestyle.

• Weekly rotating shift between 1st and 2nd (1st: 6am - 2pm, 2nd: 2pm - 10pm)
• Straight 3rd shift (3rd: 10pm - 6am)

The following lists the job tasks and responsibilities that the General Laborer may be performing:

• Responsible for correct reporting of time, production, and material usage.
• Set up of the machine including preparing materials and retrieving paper from storage.
• Using a computer, enter information relating to the production run including job information, measurements etc.
• Reports irregularities, maintenance needs and quality problems to necessary staff
• Assists crew in running, changing over, starting up and cleaning the machine
• Checks raw materials and corrugated paper inventory to what is needed for each production run to ensure shortages are prevented
• Accurately use measuring tools to verify dimensions on corrugated board to ensure a quality product
• Troubleshoots machine issues and make recommendations on improving the process
• Keeps work area clean and orderly
• Other job tasks and projects as assigned

We are also looking for General Laborers who are self‑motivated individuals willing to work safely in a team‑based system. They need to have the ability to schedule their work, prioritize their workload, and complete tasks in a timely manner. A desire for continuous improvement and quality workmanship are required to meet our customers increasing demands.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous manufacturing experience is a plus but not required. Good human relations skills and strong verbal communication skills are required.

Compensation and Benefits

As a General Laborer, you'll start out making $24.10 per hour on day one with room to grow. You will have access to our two health and wellness clinics.
