Green Bay Packaging Inc. in De Pere, WI is seeking a General Laborer for our on-site 3rd shift. You will support production operations, report time and material usage, and assist with machine setup, startup, and cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Report time, production, and material usage accurately.
• Set up machine and prepare materials; retrieve paper from storage.
• Enter job information and measurements into computer systems.
• Report irregularities, maintenance needs and quality problems to staff.
• Assist crew with running, changing over, starting up and cleaning the machine.
• Check raw materials and corrugated paper inventory to prevent shortages.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions on corrugated board.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and suggest process improvements.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Hours

• 3rd Shift: Sunday through Thursday
• Hours: 9:55 PM to 6:00 AM
• Additional overtime opportunities may be available and could be required to support business needs

Responsibilities

The following lists the job tasks and responsibilities that the General Laborer may be performing:

• Responsible for correct reporting of time, production, and material usage.
• Set up of the machine including preparing materials and retrieving paper from storage.
• Using a computer, enter information relating to the production run including job information, measurements etc.
• Reports on irregularities, maintenance needs and quality problems to necessary staff
• Assists crew in running, changing over, starting up and cleaning the machine
• Checks raw materials and corrugated paper inventory to what is needed for each production run to ensure shortages are prevented
• Accurately use measuring tools to verify dimensions on corrugated board to ensure a quality product
• Troubleshoot machine issues and make recommendations on improving the process
• Keeps work area clean and orderly
• Other job tasks and projects as assigned

We are also looking for General Laborers who are self-motivated individuals willing to work safely in a team-based system. They need to have the ability to schedule their work, prioritize their workload, and complete tasks in a timely manner. A desire for continuous improvement and quality workmanship is required to meet our customers increasing demands.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous manufacturing experience is a plus but not required. Good human relations skills and strong verbal communication skills are required.

As a General Laborer, you'll start out making$24.10 per hour on day one with room to grow. You will have access to our two health and wellness clinics.
