Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking a dynamic general foreperson to lead electrical facility maintenance crews outdoors in Fort Smith, AR. You will organize crews, supervise safety, and ensure high standards as you manage day-to-day operations in the field.

Your office is outdoors, and you may travel up to 100% as work demands. We offer opportunities for advancement, paid time off, and a strong employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete Electrical Hazard Awareness Program and OSHA training.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: CDL-Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or related tree work.
• Preferred: pesticide licenses/certificates as required by state law.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Manage, direct and supervise crew leaders, field personnel and equipment as well as plan and execute assigned work by:
• Organizing and assigning crews and equipment to efficiently perform the required work
• Understand and follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules
• Maintain accurate records of required work
• Oversee the hiring and training of all Davey employees in territory
• Investigate accidents and promptly report to appropriate management
• Every day there’s something new to do!
