Job summary

The Davey Tree Surgery Co. seeks a dedicated team member to assist climbers and crew in performing tree pruning and removal for major utility providers. You will maintain and operate equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts, while safely directing traffic and keeping the site clean.

Required: valid driver's license; CDL Class A/B preferred. Orientation, First Aid/CPR and defensive driving training provided upon hire.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: CDL Class A or B without airbrake restriction.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work.
• Preferred: pesticides and/or herbicide licenses and certificates, if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more
• Direct road and sidewalk traffic as needed by use of warning devices and other methods
• Haul and chip brush and debris and blow saw dust, leaving the work site clean and tidy
