Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking a dynamic utility foreperson/foreman to guide a 2-5 person crew in safe and efficient tree pruning and removal for major electric utilities. Your office is outdoors, with a new view each day.

Ideal candidates bring line clearance experience, a valid driver’s license, and the drive to mentor newer employees while maintaining safety standards on varied job sites in Lindsay, OK and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in line clearance or related tree work is required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license at hire.
• CDL licenses and related pesticide licenses may be preferred depending on state law.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2-5 person tree crew in pruning and removal services for major electric utility providers, safely and skillfully.
• Prune treetops and repair damaged trees by trimming or removal as needed.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines.
• Perform job-site inspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work.
• Maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and more.
• Mentor and train new employees.

Job Duties

WhatYou’llDo:

• Lead a2-5 persontree crew in performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:
• Pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid,CPRand defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: line clearance experience or other relatedtreework
• Required: Valid driver’s license
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B withoutairbrakerestriction
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
