Job summary

Exelon seeks a professional engineer to support the planning, design, licensing and operation of electric generation and transmission facilities. The role requires independent work, strong analytical skills and budget/cost awareness.

Minimum qualifications include a BS in Engineering or PE, 4–7 years of experience, knowledge of codes and field test equipment. Master’s/ MBA / PM certification may reduce on-the-job time. Oak Brook Terrace, IL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or PE licensure.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• Knowledge of complex field test equipment.
• 4-7 years of professional engineering experience.
• Broad knowledge of regulations, guides, standards, codes and practices for complex assignments.
• Minimum of two related career experiences or Engineer in Training.
• MBA or Project Management Certification considered for advancement.
• Master's degree can reduce OJT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develops studies, plans, criteria, specifications, calculations, evaluations and design documents for energy facilities.
• Provides consultations and recommendations to the Company.
• Reviews financial data from budgets and project costs.
• Operates independently and may work extended hours during storms or emergencies.
