Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject.
  • Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver lessons aligned with district curriculum and TEA guidelines.
  • Plan lessons reflecting diverse learning styles and accommodations as needed.
  • Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines and district policies.
  • Plan and use instructional strategies and materials suitable for students' needs.
  • Assess student learning and adjust instruction based on results.
  • Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
  • Collaborate with staff to set goals, objectives, and methods according to district requirements.
  • Supervise teacher aides and volunteers as assigned.
  • Utilize technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
  • Establish open communication with parents, students, principals, and teachers.
