Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a driven solutions leader to partner with public sector customers, advising on GenAI strategy and value realization. You will engage federal, state, and local agencies, aligning technical teams and partners to move prototypes to production using our API and Codex.

Based in Washington, DC, the role offers relocation support. You will build a GenAI roadmap, manage stakeholder relationships, and contribute to open-source resources while driving deployment scale across projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical consulting with public sector customers (U.S. federal preferred).
• Led GenAI or traditional ML implementations for government agencies in collaboration with partners.
• Understand network and cloud architecture, including on-premise deployments.
• Effective and polished communicator who can translate business and technical topics.
• Experience in Python, Go, or Typescript.
• Own problems end-to-end and be willing to learn what you’re missing to get the job done.
• Humility and teamwork mindset with drive to help the team succeed.

Responsibilities

• Embed with the most sophisticated public sector customers as the technical lead, ideating and building novel applications on our API and Codex.
• Identify best GenAI applications with stakeholders and build a comprehensive backlog for the AI roadmap.
• Accelerate time to value by delivering hands-on prototypes or strategic guidance with partners.
• Forge and manage relationships with customer and partner leadership to ensure successful deployment and scale of applications.
• Contribute to open-source developer and enterprise resources.
• Scale Deployment Engineering through knowledge sharing and notebooks.
• Provide high-signal feedback to Product, Engineering, and Research teams.
