Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist II to advance GenAI and Large Language Models for Sponsored Products and Brands Off-Search. You will collaborate with engineers, scientists, and PMs to deliver scalable, production-ready AI solutions that influence ad retrieval, allocation, and relevance. Qualifications

• PhD, or Master’s degree with 4+ years in CS/CE/ML or related field.
• 3+ years building models for business applications.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and development of GenAI, deep learning, multi-objective optimization and/or reinforcement learning powered solutions to transform ad retrieval, auctions, whole-page relevance, and/or bespoke shopping experiences.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists, engineers, and product managers to bring scalable, production-ready science solutions to life.
• Stay abreast of industry trends in GenAI, LLMs, and related disciplines, bringing fresh concepts and prototypes to the organization.
• Enhance the team’s scientific and technical rigor by identifying and implementing best-in-class algorithms and infrastructure for rapid experimentation and scaling.
• Mentor and grow junior scientists and engineers, cultivating a high-performing team.
