Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist to advance GenAI and real-time ML systems for Sponsored Products and Brands. The role focuses on building scalable GenAI models, optimizing shopper insights, and working closely with engineers to deploy production-ready solutions at scale.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in deep learning, customer experience, and high-scale ML, with a passion for advancing AI technologies in advertising across Amazon’s platforms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building models for business applications.
• PhD, or Master’s degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience in algorithms, data structures, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel/distributed computing, high-performance computing.

Responsibilities

• Leverage Generative AI and LLMs to mine complex behavioral data and derive actionable shopper insights.
• Design and develop scalable ML and GenAI models focused on shopper intent and preference modeling.
• Partner with engineering to deploy end-to-end GenAI solutions into production.
• Drive scalability, efficiency, and automation of large-scale model training and real-time inference systems.
• Design and run rigorous A/B experiments to quantify business and customer impact of GenAI-driven insights.
