Amazon Science in Seattle is seeking an Applied Scientist to advance GenAI and LLM-driven optimization across the Sponsored Products and Brands landscape. You will contribute to ad retrieval, ranking, and personalized shopping experiences at scale, collaborating with researchers and engineers to deploy robust, production-ready models.

You will work on cutting-edge GenAI concepts, build and evaluate models, and help shape the future of advertising technology at Amazon.

Qualificações

• PhD, or Master’s degree with 4+ years in CS/CE/ML or related field.
• 3+ years of building models for business applications.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Strong foundation in GenAI, large language models, ML, DL, probabilistic modeling, or optimization.
• Experience deploying models in production.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to design and development of GenAI, deep learning, multi-objective optimization and/or reinforcement learning powered solutions for ad retrieval, auctions, whole-page relevance, and bespoke shopping experiences.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists, engineers, and product managers to bring scalable, production-ready science solutions to life.
• Stay abreast of GenAI, LLMs, and related trends, bringing fresh concepts and prototypes to the organization.
• Enhance team's scientific and technical rigor by implementing best-in-class algorithms and infrastructure for rapid experimentation and scaling.
• Mentor and grow junior scientists and engineers, building a high-performing, collaborative team.
