Job summary

Bread Financial is seeking a Senior Staff Enterprise Architect to define the organization's architectural vision for AI, GenAI, ML, and data strategies. You will govern enterprise platforms used to oversee AI implementations and align IT with long-term business objectives.

You will liaise with business and IT, set standards, and lead AI adoption while maintaining architectural integrity and operational readiness across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a CS/IS/Engineering field or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years in architecture and IT strategy roles.
• 2+ years leading large-scale transformation projects.
• 1+ years influencing AI-related enterprise directions.
• 1 cloud certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the liaison between business units and IT.
• Establish architectural best practices and standards.
• Define enterprise AI reference architecture (GenAI/Agentic AI, ML pipelines).
• Shape AI adoption roadmap balancing innovation and governance.
• Align AI initiatives with business capabilities and EA standards.
• Lead modernization of legacy architecture.
• Provide executive‑level presentations on architecture initiatives.
• Lead independent research on upcoming AI technologies.
