Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a highly experienced Senior Architect with deep AI expertise to lead architecture, strategy, and adoption of AI-powered solutions across enterprise platforms.

The role defines future-state architectures, guides technology decisions, and drives scalable, secure, and responsible AI capabilities that deliver measurable business outcomes. Strong enterprise experience with Generative AI and Cloud is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or Technology Strategy.
• Experience in leading large-scale AI, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, or Intelligent Automation initiatives.
• Deep understanding of Generative AI LLMs, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), Agentic AI architectures.
• Machine Learning lifecycle management and AI governance practices.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale distributed systems and API-driven architectures.
• Strong data architecture, data engineering, analytics platforms, and integration patterns.
• Experience conducting architecture reviews and defining target-state technology strategies.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and communicate complex technical concepts to executives.

Responsibilities

• Create the solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions across business, operations, and tech.
• Contribute to architecture roadmap across domains (Business, Application, Data, Technology).
• Clarify architecture and provide options to resolve impediments.
• Lead design of complex architectures with modular, flexible patterns.
• Educate team members on architecture practices and standardization strategies.
• Support technology stack decisions and product-aligned tooling choices.
• Perform design and code reviews to ensure non-functional requirements (security, performance, reliability).
• Define enterprise AI architecture vision, roadmaps, and target-state capabilities.
• Collaborate with business, product, engineering, data, risk, and security teams.
