Job summary

Brooksource's AI and data practice is hiring a GenAI Developer to support federal programs. You will join a fast-paced team delivering production-ready AI-enabled web applications for agencies like FAA, HUD, and USDA, with hybrid work in the DMV area.

Responsibilities include full lifecycle development, integrating AI models, building front-end and back-end components, APIs, and cloud deployments (AWS/Azure), while adhering to security and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree listed as a requirement.
• Active Security Clearance (Public Trust, Secret, TS/SCI, etc.).
• 3–5 years of professional software or application development experience.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle (build, test, deploy, support).
• Hands-on front‑end development with JavaScript/TypeScript and React/Next.js.
• Backend development with Python and frameworks such as FastAPI or Node.js.
• Experience integrating generative AI or large language models into apps.
• Experience developing and integrating APIs within web-based apps.
• Experience deploying or supporting apps in AWS, Azure, or other clouds.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance AI-enabled web applications for federal programs.
• Contribute across full SDLC: development, testing, deployment, support.
• Integrate generative AI models and capabilities into scalable apps.
• Build and support front-end and back-end components in modern environments.
• Develop and integrate APIs connecting apps, AI models, and services.
• Collaborate with developers, AI/ML engineers, and product teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
• Support scalability and ongoing improvement as program needs evolve.
• Deploy and support applications in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
