Job summary

Skeeter Products Inc. in Kilgore, TX seeks an Autobody/Industrial Painter to apply gel coat and flake to boat molds using spray equipment per order specs. Responsibilities include reading work orders, ensuring proper taping, and moving molds in and out of the gel coat booth.

The role requires wearing a respirator for long hours, ability to lift 20 lbs, and comfort with heat and fumes. English reading/writing and attention to quality are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English and paint any color on decks or hulls
• Ability to work early morning hours (5:00a.m.) and flexible hours
• Wear respirator for 10+ hours a day
• Understand the purpose of and how to use a mil-gauge
• Ability to lift 20 lbs and work in heat
• Ability to work in an environment with chemical fumes, noise

Responsibilities

• Operate spray equipment to apply gel coat and/or flake to boat molds as per order specifications.
• Move boat molds and/or small parts in and out of gel coat booth.
• Read work orders to check for color to be applied in which area.
• Assure proper taping has been performed.
• Use air and airless bulk spray guns and hand pot spray gun to apply gel coat and/or flake to molds in required thickness.
• Clean and maintain spray equipment and keep in proper working order.
