Responsibilities

• Operate spray equipment to apply gel coat and/or flake to boat molds as per order specifications.
• Move boat molds and/or small parts in and out of gel coat booth.
• Read work orders to check for color to be applied in which area.
• Assure proper taping has been performed.
• Use air and airless bulk spray guns and hand pot spray gun to apply gel coat and/or flake to molds in required thickness.
• Clean and maintain spray equipment and keep in proper working order.

JOB SUMMARY:

Operates spray equipment to apply gel coat and/or flake to boat molds as per order specifications.

JOB DUTIES:

• Read work orders to check for color to be applied in which area
• Assure proper taping has been performed
• Use of air and airless bulk spray guns and hand pot spray gun to apply gel coat and/or flake to molds in required thickness
• Move boat molds and/or small parts in and out of gel coat booth
• Clean and maintain spray equipment and keep in proper working order

  QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work early morning hours (5:00a.m.) and flexible hours
  • Wear respirator for 10+ hours a day
  • Understand the purpose of and how to use a mil-gauge
  • Be able to read and write English and be able to paint any color on decks or hulls
  • Ability to perform walking, standing, bending, pushing/pulling for 8+ hours a day
