Job summary

UNDP Gaza Sub Office seeks a Project Coordinator to oversee water and wastewater initiatives, ensuring alignment with Palestinian authorities (PWA/CMWU) and donor requirements. The role focuses on planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting to deliver resilient water services in Gaza.

The incumbent will manage multi‑partner teams, supervise technical staff, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards while advancing capacity building and governance

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, or related field required OR
• Bachelor’s degree with additional 2 years of qualifying experience considered in lieu of advanced degree
• Fluency in English and Arabic required.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans, proposals, budgets, and timelines to support scale-up interventions.
• Provide day-to-day management of water and wastewater activities with partners and stakeholders.
• Lead site assessments, damage/feasibility analyses, and prioritization of interventions.
• Prepare implementation plans, work schedules, procurement plans, and activity timetables.
• Review designs, BOQs, drawings, and cost estimates for access coordination.
