Job summary

Fogo de Chão in Washington, DC is seeking a Gaucho Chef to expertly prepare and grill beef and other meats in the traditional churrasco style. You will portion, garnish and present dishes with Brazilian flair while engaging guests and representing gaucho culture.

The role requires physical stamina, weekend and holiday availability, and the ability to work at a fast pace. We offer full-time hours, competitive benefits, and opportunities for culinary growth.

Qualifications

• Must be able to transport objects up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook beef and other meats according to traditional churrasco recipes.
• Season and grill food according to method and guests' requests.
• Portion, garnish and present to guests in gaucho style.
• Answer guests' questions concerning churrasco and gaucho culture.
• Maintain cleanliness of the grill area.
• Complete opening/closing shift duties.
