Job summary

Carvana is hiring a Safe and Secure Associate II in Elyria, OH to protect people, assets, and operations at our facility. You will interact with associates, vendors, and visitors at gate entrances and support CCTV, badge requests, and incident response.

The role emphasizes service, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols, with ongoing training in life-saving measures and incident handling. This is a full-time, on-site position offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• This job position is designated as a safety-sensitive position
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels
• Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet
• Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance
• Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity
• Requires use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment
• Requires frequent driving and computer data entry
• Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance
• The facility is a 24/7 operation and gates must be manned at all times.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a service first approach in everything you do.
• Make a difference by exemplifying our Carvana values.
• Act as the egress and digress ambassador, positively impacting interactions with associates, drivers, and vendors.
• Be the face of Carvana at gates for associates, vendors, and visitors.
• Assist with badge creation, CCTV review, and other requests in collaboration with the Safe and Secure Team Lead/Manager.
• Ensure timely, high-quality, service-oriented delivery of requests.
• Participate in life-saving training and apply skills in emergencies.
• Promote an incident-ready focus and follow the Incident Response Protocol.
