Professional Transportation, Inc. is seeking a Gate Administrator to manage gate activity at the customer facility in Saint Paul. The role involves inspecting equipment, verifying credentials, and ensuring safe entry and exit for vehicles, employees, and customers.

The job relies on handheld scanners and desktop applications for daily tasks. The position requires the ability to work outdoors in various conditions, strong communication skills, and basic computer proficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with a variety of individuals.
• Basic computer skills and general technology proficiency.
• Ability to work in all outdoor conditions including rain, snow, ice, heat, wind, and cold.

Responsibilities

• Maintain awareness and organization within the intermodal facility.
• Visual inspection of IDs for all entering the facility; announce visitors.
• Use handheld devices and scan missions to keep inventory accurate.
• Inspect in-gating equipment for damages and document findings.
• Direct third-party drivers and customers to designated locations.
• Understand outbound destinations and modify destination restrictions as needed.
• Provide administrative support: answer phones, assist employees/customers, coordinate with management.
• Gate locking and crash protection as warranted.
• General housekeeping as needed.
