Job summary

Advatix, Inc. is seeking an LTL Cross Dock Access Guard to manage gate operations at a high-volume cross-dock campus.

This role partners with site leadership, transportation, and warehouse teams to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient movement of tractors, trailers, employees, visitors, and contractors. The candidate will use technology, critical thinking, and judgment to mitigate risk, maintain security standards, and support uninterrupted logistics operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, access control, security ops or related fields.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and payroll systems.
• Ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Independent work with limited supervision.
• Punctual with assigned shift.
• Sora Card required.

Responsibilities

• Control and monitor all vehicle, visitor, contractor, and employee access to the facility.
• Verify driver credentials, delivery docs, trailer numbers, seal integrity, and appointments.
• Maintain adherence to facility access requirements and security protocols.
• Process inbound/outbound traffic through gate management systems.
• Issue access authorizations as required.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound LTL traffic to prevent congestion.
• Communicate trailer locations, dock assignments, and yard status to teams.
• Support dispatch and operations with real-time arrivals, departures, and exceptions.
• Monitor yard activity and escalate service-impacting issues.
• Assist with carrier compliance verification and documentation review.
• Maintain electronic records of gate transactions and activity.
• Prepare daily gate activity reports for management.
