Job summary

ADVATIX - Advanced Supply Chain and Logistics in New Jersey seeks an LTL Cross Dock Access Guard to manage gate operations, security, and logistics coordination at a six-acre campus. This role partners with site leadership, transportation teams, and warehouse operations to ensure compliant and efficient movement of tractors, trailers, employees, visitors, and contractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years in logistics, security operations, or related fields.
• Strong computer and documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Valid Sora Card required.

Responsibilities

• Control and monitor all vehicle, visitor, contractor, and employee access to the facility.
• Verify driver credentials, delivery documentation, trailer numbers, seal integrity, and scheduled appointments prior to entry.
• Maintain strict adherence to facility access requirements and company security protocols.
• Process inbound and outbound traffic through gatemanagement systems.
• Issue access authorizations as required.
• Coordinate the efficient flow of inbound and outbound LTL traffic to prevent congestion and delays.
• Communicate trailer locations, dock assignments, and yard status updates to teams.
• Support dispatch, transportation, and operations leadership with real-time information.
• Monitor yard activity and elevate issues impacting service levels.
• Assist with carrier compliance verification and transportation documentation review.
• Conduct routine inspections of vehicles, trailers, and entry points.
• Identify and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Initiate incident reporting and documentation procedures.
• Maintain electronic records of gate transactions and activity.
• Serve as the first point of contact for drivers, visitors, carriers, customers, and vendors.
• Provide professional direction and assistance while maintaining a customer-service mindset.
