Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an energetic passenger services agent to help passengers at ticket counters and in the gate area. You will verify travel documents, assign seats, and ensure boarding passes are issued for flights, while supporting baggage handling and customer information.

Applicants must be 18+, hold a valid license/FAA ID, be fluent in English, and be able to work varied shifts including weekends. The job involves indoor/outdoor work and lifting up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess/maintain a valid Driver’s License and FAA identification/seals.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test.
• Must be available to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Work indoors and outdoors; comfortable in all weather.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Comply with attendance standards.
• Computerized check-in of passengers for international and domestic travel.
• Designate seat assignments.
• Verify documents for flights.
• Provide boarding passes for assigned charter flight.
• Verify ticket and seat reservations.
• Match manifest to on-board count.
• Assist with governmental agency requirements.
• Connect and disconnect Jetway/stairs as needed.
• Announce arrivals and departures.
• Assist with baggage tagging and baggage claim.
• Maintain knowledge of flight times during shift.
• Provide information to customers.
• Liaise with Airlines, Customer Representatives and Ground Handlers.
