Job summary

The Surgical Scheduler at Jefferson Health enhances the patient experience by courteously and professionally scheduling inpatient and outpatient procedures and surgeries. This role supports the Jefferson Experience through prompt, courteous treatment of all patients at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.

Responsibilities

• Collect and review patient insurance information including prior authorizations and referrals and ensure approvals are in place before the scheduled procedure.
• Complete pre-procedure phone calls and confirm appointment times with patients by telephone.
• Provide patients with all necessary pre-operative instructions.
• Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
• Other duties as requested or assigned.
