Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in Gastroenterology with a focus on perioperative care and recovery. You will assess patients’ status, manage anesthesia-related care, and ensure safety and education throughout the perioperative continuum.

Qualifications include nursing degree from an accredited program, active licensure, and BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Minimum one year in preoperative or PACU settings is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing with active licensure.
• Minimum of 1 year of Pre Operative or PACU nursing experience.
• Current BLS/BCLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per facility policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe underlying pathophysiology.
• Apply scoring systems for discharge criteria per policy.
• Develop and implement individualized perianesthesia care plans.
• Coordinate hand-offs and ensure patient safety during perioperative care.
