SCA Health is hiring an RN specialized in gastroenterology to support perioperative care at our Littleton, CO location. You will assess patients pre- and post-operatively, monitor anesthesia recovery, and coordinate care across the perioperative continuum.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre-Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state nursing licensure in good standing.
• ACLS, BLS/BCLS certifications required within specified timelines.
• PALS certification if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCAHealth.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per facility policies.
• Interpret information from noninvasive and invasive monitors.
• Describe the pathophysiology of common diseases.
• Develop an individualized peri‑anesthesia plan of care.
• Implement the plan of care including recovery from anesthesia across general, MAC, regional, and local.
• Communicate patient status across the peri‑anesthesia care continuum.
• Provide acute pain and comfort management.
• Administer medications safely using the 8 rights of safe medication administration.
• Ensure wound integrity and tissue perfusion at or above baseline.
• Educate patient and family about postoperative care.
• Delegate tasks per state regulations.
• Document care completely and accurately.
